Negotiations between the delegations of Ukraine and the United States will be held on Saturday, March 21, in Miami, Florida. This was reported on March 21 by RBC-Ukraine, citing sources.
The Ukrainian delegation included Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Kirill Budanov, Head of the presidential staff, Serhiy Kyslytsa, his first deputy, and David Arakhamia, head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction.
The United States will be represented by White House Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner. The main purpose of the meeting was to hold consultations on topical issues of bilateral cooperation.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced on March 19 that his country's delegation would travel to the United States for talks with the American team. The event is scheduled for Saturday, March 21st. The Ukrainian leader noted that the parties intend to resume dialogue on the settlement of the conflict.
On the same day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov explained the pause in negotiations on Ukraine as an operation against Iran. According to him, the pause is of a technical nature, and Moscow hopes for the resumption of the negotiation process. After that, on March 20, he added that the Russian side would not take part in the negotiations between Kiev and Washington, which would be held on March 21. Peskov also stressed that the country expects the resumption of contacts in the near future.
