Over the past day, seven of the most noticeable tremors of magnitude up to 5.0 have been registered off the eastern coast of Kamchatka. This was announced on March 21 by the main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.

"Seven aftershocks of magnitude from 3.5 to 4.8 occurred during the day. An earthquake was felt once in populated areas," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.

The Governor of the Magadan Region, Sergey Nosov, announced on March 17 that a significant 5.0 magnitude earthquake had occurred in Magadan. According to the governor, the tremors were recorded at a depth of 10 km, the epicenter of the event was located 12 km north of the village of Klepka.
