It became known about the number of Amur tigers in Russia
The population of the Red Book Amur tiger in the Russian Federation is more than 750 individuals. This was announced on March 21 by Sergey Aramilev, General Director of the Amur Tiger Center.
"We have expert assessments, as well as data from annual monitoring, which is conducted on 25-30% of the tiger's range. Federal and regional specially protected natural territories, as well as a number of hunting farms, keep records using automatic cameras and keep track of footprints in the snow. The population is stable in these territories, so we assume that the situation is exactly the same in the entire area," Aramilev told RIA Novosti.
