The Nebius Group, founded by Arkady Volozh, the former head of Yandex, has entered into a long-term agreement with Meta (Meta Corporation's activities are recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) to supply infrastructure for artificial intelligence (AI). This was announced on March 16 by the press service of Nebius.

The contract value is approximately $27 billion. As part of the five-year agreement, Nebius will provide Meta with $12 billion in dedicated capacity in several locations, using one of the first large-scale NVIDIA Vera Rubin platforms. Deliveries will begin in early 2027.

In addition, Meta has committed to purchase additional computing power in future Nebius clusters worth up to $15 billion over five years.

"We are pleased to expand our significant partnership with Meta by signing more large, long-term capacity contracts to accelerate the development and growth of our core cloud AI business," Volozh said.

The former head and co-founder of Yandex renounced his Russian citizenship on February 27. It was clarified that in the future, the billionaire plans to focus on the management and growth of his Dutch company, Nebius Group NV.
