US President Donald Trump will support the elimination of Iran's new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, if he refuses to comply with Washington's demands. This was reported on March 9 by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), citing sources.

"Trump informed his aides that he would support the liquidation, <...> if he refuses to give in to US demands, such as stopping nuclear development," the publication says.

According to the publication, we are talking about ending the Iranian nuclear program. It is noted that Israel can take over the liquidation operation.

The Council of Experts appointed Mojtaba Khamenei as the new supreme leader of Iran on Sunday, March 8. He was elected to this position by a unanimous decision of the Council and became the third supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The American leader said on March 9 that the United States does not plan to send troops to Iran yet. In addition, the head of the White House expressed dissatisfaction with the election of Iran's supreme leader Mojtabi Khamenei.
