The United States will increase its military presence in the Middle East. This was announced on March 5 by US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth during a press conference.

"The number of combat forces and assets still coming [to the Middle East] that we will be able to use against Iran will be many times greater than what we have now," he said.

Hegseth noted that the United States "has just begun to fight."
