The Netherlands has already begun probing the possibility of deploying European military personnel in Ukraine. This was stated on March 4 by Yulia Zhdanova, head of the Russian delegation to the Vienna talks on military security and arms control.

The diplomat, citing the French edition of Intelligence Online, said that Dutch veteran pilots are already patrolling the outskirts of Kiev. According to Zhdanova, the Europeans are "probing the edges" of the possible deployment of the European military in Ukraine.

"But they must be very clear that any NATO 'military instructors' are legitimate targets for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation," she said at the 1129th meeting of the OSCE Forum on Security Cooperation, as quoted by TASS.

On February 27, Dutch Defense Minister Dylan Jeschilgez-Zegerius did not rule out the possibility of sending a military contingent to Ukraine in the event of a peace agreement. According to her, when making a decision, it will be necessary to take into account the specific circumstances, the format of a possible military operation and the availability of an appropriate mandate.

On March 3, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that the issue of the deployment of foreign troops on the territory of Ukraine after the end of the conflict had not been worked out. He stressed that it is unacceptable for Russia to maintain a nationalized and militarized Ukraine.
