The Estonian Foreign Ministry has summoned Charge d'affaires of Russia Kamran Abilov. This was announced on March 3 on the website of the Estonian department.

The reason for the call is allegedly the intention to deliver a note concerning the procedural rules for the movement of Russian icebreakers in Estonian territorial waters.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Murmansk icebreaker sailed across the waters of the Gulf of Finland on February 28 to assist the Olympic Friendship tanker, which was previously stuck in the ice. It is specified that the icebreaker stayed in Estonia for about four minutes.
