It became known about a new fraudulent scheme with fake clinic chats
Fraudsters began adding Russians to fake polyclinic chats and, under the pretext of confirming their attachment to a medical facility, extorting their personal data. This was reported by RIA Novosti on February 27.
It clarifies that the attackers create fake chats in messengers, add a victim to them and ask them to confirm their attachment to a medical organization. After the person's consent, they send a link to an alleged questionnaire to confirm the data. However, this link leads to a phishing site.
If the victim clicks on the link, malicious software may automatically start downloading on their device.
