Tests of the new Sibiryachok-5 reconnaissance drone, which was presented by Russian inventors with the support of the Kulibin Club, have begun in the area of the special military operation. This was reported to Izvestia on February 26 by the People's Front.

Sibiryachok-5 is primarily a reconnaissance drone that makes video recordings on the ground, is capable of flying up to 20 km at an altitude of up to 1,000 m. It recognizes targets: people, vehicles and combat vehicles. It can also carry a maximum payload of up to four kilograms," said Alexander, head of production of the Sibiryachok—5 UAV at Gaskar.

The drone consists of 95% domestic components, including its own boards and motors. Its own electronics production has made the drone cheaper and allowed the company not to depend on Western sanctions. Serial production of the UAV is scheduled for 2026.

In addition, the Storm flying wing is being actively supplied to the troops. More than 200 such devices are already being used for aerial reconnaissance of the area, indicating targets and tracking the situation.

Another novelty is a heavy cargo drone capable of delivering up to 25 kg of cargo (ammunition, medicines, provisions, etc.) at a distance of up to 20 km. The device will use various systems to bypass electronic warfare (EW).

"This UAV allows us to save the lives of our fighters and conduct covert delivery. It can also be used for military purposes, and special vents are suspended from it," added Vadim, the head of the company's project group.
