The largest number of crimes against Russian prisoners of war are committed in secret prisons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry's ambassador-at-large for crimes committed by the Kiev regime, said this on February 26.

The diplomat noted that the Kiev authorities have created a network of secret prisons for captured Russian soldiers in the territory controlled by the Kiev regime.

"According to numerous reliable testimonies, it is there, in an atmosphere of lawlessness and impunity, that the greatest number of crimes against prisoners of war are committed," RIA Novosti quotes Miroshnik's second report, Secret Prisons.

Prior to that, on February 12, Miroshnik noted that Russian servicemen were undergoing a "marathon of torture" in secret prisons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - zindans, basements, concrete boxes. He noted that using psychological pressure and bullying, the Ukrainian militants are trying to get military information from the fighters.

The Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia, Tatiana Moskalkova, reported on February 7 that Russian servicemen had died or been tortured while being held captive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to her, this is contrary to international law and human moral standards.
