Slutsky reported on the concern of the EP members about the risk of transferring nuclear weapons to Kiev.

Representatives of the European Parliament (EP) are concerned about the possible transfer of nuclear weapons to the Kiev regime. This was announced on February 26 by Leonid Slutsky, head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, in his Telegram channel.

According to Slutsky, the State Duma Committee held another round of contacts with a group of EP deputies led by Luxembourg parliamentarian Fernand Kartheiser. The key topic was reports of possible plans by London and Paris to transfer nuclear weapon components to Kiev.

"The EP representatives expressed serious concern about the possibility of the conflict entering a nuclear orbit and its transition into a third World War. And in this regard, they show a much more sensible position than the ruling circles of France, Great Britain or Germany," Slutsky wrote.

Despite pressure from Brussels, the number of participants in such meetings from the European side continues to grow.

"The unfreezing of contacts between MPs and MEPs, and their access to a systematic and regular level, make it possible to bring the truth about our position to the European public. The breakthrough of the anti—Russian blockade is steadily expanding," stressed the head of the State Duma Committee.

Moscow warns of consequences of escalation

On February 24, the press bureau of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service reported on the plans of London and Paris to secretly transfer nuclear weapons to Kiev. After that, the Federation Council called on the French and British sides to conduct parliamentary investigations, and the chairman of the instance, Valentina Matvienko, stressed that Ukraine's status as a nuclear-weapon-free state was not subject to revision.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on February 24 that Russia's opponents, who "do not disdain any means," understand how an attempt to use nuclear weapons can end. He added that Western countries are trying to disrupt the peace negotiation process in this way.
