Sikorsky admitted Ukraine's involvement in the Nord Stream bombing
The explosion of the Nord Stream gas pipelines was carried out by Ukraine. On February 26, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski stated this at a meeting in the Sejm.
During the discussion, former Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau criticized Germany's involvement in the construction and operation of the Nord Stream gas pipelines. He asked if the Germans had already dismantled the gas pipelines.
"The Ukrainians dismantled them," Sikorsky replied, interrupting his opponent.
In turn, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin shared information about possible attempts to undermine the Turkish Stream and Blue Stream pipelines running along the bottom of the Black Sea. He added that Western countries are trying to destroy the peace negotiation process on Ukraine. He noted that Russia's opponents "cannot calm down in any way" and are doing everything to commit provocations in order to disrupt the negotiations.
The German newspaper Berliner Zeitung reported on February 20 that the United States had initiated and was overseeing closed–door negotiations on the possible restoration of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines. According to sources, negotiations have been underway since the fall of 2025 at the expert and diplomatic levels with the participation of representatives of a number of European Union (EU) countries.
