The neonatal screening program in Russia includes two diseases

In Russia, two new diseases were added to the neonatal screening program in 2026. The co-chairman of the All-Russian Union of Patients, Chairman of the Board of the All-Russian Society of Orphan Diseases (BOE) told about it on February 26 in the press center of the Izvestia International Medical Center Irina Myasnikova at the press conference "Rare diagnoses require systemic solutions."

Snezhanna Gorchakova, Chairman of MBOO HUNTER SYNDROME, member of the Board of Trustees of the Circle of Goodness Foundation, spoke at the Izvestia Medical Center on October 13 last year about the need for equal access to therapy for orphan patients.
