The construction of two tunnels on the graphite metro line in Moscow has been completed

The construction of two tunnels of the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya metro line has been completed in Moscow, said Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. We are talking about tunnels with a length of about 2.4 km each between the Rublevo-Arkhangelskoye and Linden Grove stations, which were penetrated by the Natalie and Victoria shields.

"Our specialists have coped with a difficult engineering task. The trains will run under the Moskva River, which is why it was so important to make the transfer tunnels reliable," the mayor wrote on his channel in MACH.

As Sobyanin noted, now the builders will focus on completing the sinking of the remaining tunnels and the construction of stations. Muscovites had previously chosen graphite color to mark the new metro line. Its first section, from the Business Center to General Karbyshev Boulevard, is scheduled to be completed this year, and next year, trains are expected to run to Rublevo-Arkhangelskoye and Novorizhskaya stations.

Linden Grove is located near the intersection of MKAD and Novorizhskoe Highway in Krasnogorsk, it will become the third metro station in the Moscow region.

The new Rublyovo-Arkhangelsk branch of the Moscow metro will have 12 stations and will run from Moscow City to Rublyovo-Arkhangelskoye beyond the MKAD and further to Krasnogorsk. The line will have transfers to the MCC, Solntsevskaya, Filevskaya, Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya lines and BCL. The total length of the new metro line will be more than 27 km.

Earlier in February, Sobyanin announced that 34 metro stations were planned to be built in the capital by the end of 2032. According to the mayor, since 2011, the Moscow government has completed the construction and reconstruction of more than 260 km of lines, 127 stations and 14 electric depots, including the Brateevo carriage repair plant, the Moscow Metro and the Moscow Central Ring.
