Nikolai Ermolaev, former managing director of the Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port (VMTP), was detained in Vladivostok on suspicion of fraud on an especially large scale. This was reported by RBC on February 26, citing a source.

"Right now, the port staff has been called in for questioning. They were informed that Ermolaev had been detained," the source said.

It is noted that the criminal case was initiated in July last year against unidentified persons. The crime was allegedly committed in the fall of 2024.

According to the information, the case materials are related to violations in the implementation of the contract with the construction company SK-Alliance LLC, when Ermolaev held the position of manager of the VMTP. The management of this company was questioned as part of the investigation and, according to sources, testified against the ex-port manager.

"At present, we are not commenting on the progress of the criminal investigation in the interests of the investigation," the Eastern Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the TFR noted.
