35 people have been killed in the Belgorod region since the beginning of the year due to attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have not stopped striking the Belgorod region, since the beginning of 2026, 35 civilians have died after their attacks in the region. This was announced on February 25 by Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.

"Since the beginning of the year, 35 residents of the Belgorod region have died from attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Another 239 people were injured. This is almost a threefold increase compared to 2025," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

In addition, the number of cars damaged as a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacks has doubled compared to last year. The number of damaged and destroyed houses remained at the same level — more than 1 thousand.

On the same day, Gladkov reported the death of a man in the village of Borisovka, Borisov district, after an attack by an APU drone.
