- MAER Media Holding has launched a large-scale campaign in honor of Defender of the Fatherland Day across Russia
Digital congratulations on Defender of the Fatherland Day from Rosgvardiya, the Defenders of the Fatherland State Foundation (FZO) and the MAER media holding flew through the streets of Moscow and Russian cities.
Especially for February 23, the MAER media holding, together with the Defenders of the Fatherland State Foundation, launched the second part of the special project "Heroes of Freedom in Business." Portraits of military veterans who found themselves in peaceful life by starting their own businesses are displayed on street media facades and digital screens throughout Russia.
"On this day, we honor the bravery and steadfastness of the soldiers, the selfless work of those who protect the security of the country, its sovereignty and independence. We carefully preserve and pass on from generation to generation the memory of the feat of our ancestors and express our gratitude to the heroes of today — the participants of the SVO," said Anna Tsivileva, State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Defenders of the Fatherland State Foundation.
For the Foundation, the support of its veterans remains a priority. They get the opportunity to implement social and entrepreneurial initiatives. This is how Alexey Skrypka received state support for starting his own business. A resident of Primorye worked as a mechanic and repairman until the moment of mobilization. He was wounded in the SVO zone and was presented with the Order of Courage. After rehabilitation, with the support of the FZO, Alexey is engaged in artistic welding and conducts courage lessons for schoolchildren. Their characters tell their stories on the pages of federal and regional media, their portraits and names decorate the streets of cities.
"The names of their Heroes become a symbol of courage and unwavering spirit. Together with the Defenders of the Fatherland State Foundation We continue to talk about people who have returned from the front line and found themselves in a peaceful profession. It is important that people who have defended their country are respected and recognized on the streets. In total, the congratulatory campaign will reach over 13 million Russian residents by February 23," said Konstantin Mayor, owner and CEO of the MAER media holding.
The Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation also congratulated Russians on the streets of the country from Vladivostok to Kaliningrad.
"This day is not just a tribute to military valor, it is a recognition of fortitude, inner core, willingness to be a pillar and shield. Devotion to the Motherland, willingness to protect it and stand up for our native land are the cornerstones of our national spirit, values that are not in doubt," said the director of the Russian Guard, Army General Viktor Zolotov.
