Impact Film Festival LAMP announces the start of accepting competitive applications

The XIII International LAMP Festival of Short Films, Clips, Commercials and Advertisements begins accepting entries on February 20. Professional directors and debutants of socially oriented cinema are invited to participate. You can submit your application by June 5 via the Film Freeway online platform.

LAMP is an international short film festival that has been held in Perm since 2014. Its total audience is more than 18 million people, and the film library includes about 14 thousand works from 134 countries around the world.

LAMP is a unique media project that raises important topics in the language of cinema, encourages good deeds and changes the world for the better! LAMPS films, including those of its own production, are shown annually in open lessons in schools in Russia and abroad and are awarded the prestigious Golden Eagle award. They find a response from folk artists, popular stars and bloggers who make and star in social short films themselves, act as juries, speakers and ambassadors of THE LAMP. In 2026, the film festival will be held in the capital of the Kama Region for the thirteenth time from October 9 to 11.

One of the LAMP's priorities has traditionally been to support aspiring and professional filmmakers who are ready to make themselves known and tell the world not only about important problems, but also ways to solve them. Therefore, the competitive selection will be held in several categories that are already traditional for the festival.:

  • Documentary short film
  • Short feature film
  • Animated short film
  • Social Video
  • Social Music Video
  • Social advertising

LAMPS will continue to be special nominations.:

  • A special focus is for young directors under the age of 18 who are ready to tell in their works about the stories of local communities that inspire positive actions. Participation in the film festival can serve as a launching pad for young people into the world of big cinema;
  • The Road to Home is a special nomination for directors whose films deal with the problems of refugees and stateless persons, helping people forced to leave their homes. The nomination also covers the topics of inclusivity, family and separation from loved ones.
  • Impact Series is a special film festival nomination aimed at promoting the relevance of socially transformative series with an original script. The nomination is open to entries whose stories and characters contribute to solving social problems in society and encourage us to change our world for the better.
  • "Full-meter Impact Cinema" is a special nomination of the film festival, aimed at positioning relevant social topics with life–affirming stories of heroes.

The new special nominations for 2026 will be:

  • "About the most important thing" is a special nomination of the film festival. The nomination is open to super-short feature films that not only reveal current social problems, but also demonstrate ways and means of solving them.
  • "Vertical Impact Cinema" is a special nomination of the film festival. Socially-oriented competitive works corresponding to the feature film format can participate in the nomination.

And the main nomination:

  • "The Grand Prix of the LAMP Festival is a special nomination for the best competitive work, positioning the main meanings of the film festival.

The chairman of the jury is Anton Bogdanov, a famous Russian actor, director and producer.

Among the members of the jury and the ambassadors of the festival:

Ivan Sosnin is a director, winner of the Golden Eagle Award, Anton Maslov is a Russian film and television director, screenwriter and producer, winner of the Golden Eagle Award, Oleg Lukichev is a cinematographer, winner of the White Square Fine Art Film Award, member of the Cinematographers Guild of Russia, as well as Russian theater and film actors: Evgeny Tkachuk, Sergey Gilev, Olga Lerman, Alexander Petrov, Olga Smirnova, Maria Maslova, Marina Vorozhishcheva, Viktor Dobronravov and others.

Children's Jury:

Eva Smirnova, Daniil Muravyov, Angel Zhukov, Leon Kemstach, Miron Provorov, and others.

Becoming a participant in the festival's competition program is a significant status for filmmakers with relevant meanings and eternal values. The contestants whose works will be shortlisted will have the opportunity to personally attend all the events of the film festival and present their work to a wide audience, meet with experts in the field of impact media, learn about the most relevant trends in short films and become part of the unique LAMP directing community.
