Kim Jong-un personally got behind the wheel of a large-caliber MLRS
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un got behind the wheel of one of the vehicles of the new large-caliber multiple launch rocket system (MLRS), which were transferred to the country's army and party. This was reported on February 19 by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
"Comrade Kim Jong—un boarded a MLRS combat vehicle and, personally driving it, bypassed the absolute armaments majestically built on Glory Square," the publication says.
It is noted that the ceremony was also attended by participants of the IX Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea, senior officials, scientists and workers in the military industry.
Kim Jong-un presented the Order of Kim Il-sung to a leading military-industrial enterprise and handed over a document on the presentation of MLRS to the Chief of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army, emphasizing the high military value and effectiveness of the new weapons.
On February 14, North Korean President Kim Jong-un inspected the construction of the Memorial Museum of Military Exploits, which will be dedicated to the Korean servicemen who participated in the liberation of the Kursk region. He noted that the memorial museum will become not only an architectural object, but also an important symbol of respect for fallen soldiers.
