The Russian Armed Forces told about the destruction of a group of Colombian mercenaries of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Russian military personnel (RF Armed Forces) destroyed a sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) of Colombian mercenaries of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the border of the Kharkiv region. This was announced on February 19 by an officer of the motorized rifle unit of the North group of forces with the call sign Dobrynya.

"It was decided not to inflict fire damage from afar with drones, but to let the group get closer in order to either capture or destroy it with small arms," the Russian fighter said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

He added that the Colombians acted predictably for the Russian Armed Forces, and therefore fell into a trap. However, they refused to surrender in the ambush. Subsequently, a shooting battle began, during which the DRG was eliminated. During the inspection of the belongings, Colombian passports were found.

On February 14, Rodion Miroshnik, the Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for crimes of the Kiev regime, reported that about 20 thousand foreign mercenaries participated in the fighting on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
