In Primorye, four people were arrested on suspicion of kidnapping a man.

Four people were detained in Primorsky Krai on suspicion of kidnapping a 54-year-old man. This was announced on February 19 by the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.

"The duty station of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Artyom received a message from local residents that in the area of house No. 17 on Lazo Street, unknown citizens forcibly put a man in the trunk of a car who asked for help," the department's Telegram channel said.

It is noted that four suspects confessed to the crime.

According to the investigation, the defendants in the case demanded a large sum of money from the victim, but after learning about the publicity of the case, they released the man.

A criminal case was opened into the crime under clauses "a" and "b" of Part 2 of Article 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Kidnapping committed by a group of persons by prior agreement and using violence dangerous to life or health").

At the moment, the local police are looking for the remaining defendants in the case for further arrest.

On February 3, Irina Volk, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, announced that one of the two suspects in the kidnapping and murder of a hostage committed in the Penza region had been eliminated in Moscow. The second attacker was arrested. The investigative authorities have opened a criminal case.

Volk, in turn, clarified that the body of a taxi driver killed by suspects in a kidnapping in Penza was found in a car in the west of Moscow. Criminal cases have been opened on the incident under Article 105 of the Criminal Code ("Murder"), Article 222 of the Criminal Code ("Illegal acquisition, transfer <...> the main parts of firearms, ammunition").

The bandit suspected of killing the hostage and taxi driver was arrested before April 3. It is noted that the defendant also admitted his guilt and did not object to the preventive measure.
