The United States is ready to strike Iran this Saturday. This was announced on February 18 by the CBS television channel.

"Senior national security officials have informed President [of the United States Donald] Trump that the military is ready for potential strikes as early as Saturday, but the timing of any action is likely to extend beyond this weekend," the channel reported, citing sources.

It is noted that part of the Pentagon's troops has already been deployed to the Middle East.
