Eight heads of cattle were not allowed into the Pskov region. The animals arrived from Belarus, the press service of the North-Western Interregional Rosselkhoznadzor Administration reported on Wednesday, February 18.

The transport transporting cattle was detained at the Russian-Belarusian border of Russia in the village of Lobok. The cows were in a vehicle that was not intended for their transportation. In addition, the route was not agreed with the agency.

The inspectors also found that the artiodactyls lacked means of identification (tags, plucks, stamps) and veterinary documents with marks on their origin and vaccination.

The movement of agricultural animals through the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union was prohibited. The cows will be returned to the territory of the neighboring state, the Pskov news feed writes.
