The documentary series from NM Studio became the winner of the Big Number award

The documentary series "Cherkizon. Hell and Paradise of new Russia" by NM Studio, shot especially for Okko, became the winner of the National Award in the field of multichannel digital television "Big Digital" in the nomination "Documentary series". The winners were announced on February 17 at the CSTB.PRO.MEDIA forum.

The Big Digital award is being presented for the seventeenth time and is considered one of the key industry awards in the field of digital television. The professional jury, which includes journalists, producers, cameramen, and broadcasting experts, annually determines the best projects in categories ranging from innovative technologies to original films and series of its own production.

"Cherkizon. Hell and Paradise of New Russia" was created by NM Studio (News Media Holding production) with the support of Okko and released in August 2025. The series explores the phenomenon of the largest market in the 1990s and 2000s, which turned into an independent world with its own rules, characters and dramas, and offers the viewer a look at the era through the fate of people for whom the Cherkizovsky market has become part of their personal history. Many celebrities of the late nineties took part in the filming: Joseph Prigozhin, Masha Rasputina, Lada Dance, Abraham Russo and others.
