President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will pay an official visit to Washington from February 18 to 19, where he will take part in the first meeting of the "Peace Council" created on the initiative of American leader Donald Trump. This was announced on February 18 by the press service of the Kazakh president.

"On February 18-19, 2026, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, at the invitation of US President Donald Trump, will pay a working visit to Washington to participate in the inaugural meeting of the Peace Council," the Telegram channel said.

It is emphasized that at the designated event, key attention will be paid to the stabilization of the situation in the Gaza Strip, as well as the development of practical steps to ensure peace, security and sustainable humanitarian support in the region.

In addition, Tokayev plans to hold a number of meetings with the heads of major American companies as part of his trip.

Tokayev received an invitation to join the "Peace Council" on January 19. It was clarified that his country was also invited to become one of the founding States.
