More than 400 video cameras were installed in the Moscow region in a month.

In the first month of 2026, 412 new Secure Region surveillance cameras were installed in the Moscow Region. This was reported by the press service of the main Directorate for Regional Security.

The devices were placed on the territory of public places, on social facilities and entrances to residential buildings. The largest number of cameras appeared in Bogorodsky district, Sergiev Posad and Solnechnogorsk — 114, 50 and 47 respectively.

According to the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya, 395 crimes were solved in the region during the month thanks to cameras and 365 administrative protocols were drawn up.

In total, more than 167,000 video cameras are integrated into the system in the region. Some of the equipment is equipped with artificial intelligence to recognize the faces of intruders.
