In the Krasnodar Territory, a dangerous rise in water levels in small rivers is possible in the next two days. Local residents were urged to prepare for possible evacuation.

According to KrasnodarMedia news agency, on February 18 and 19, an unfavorable situation may develop in the Absheron, Belorechensk, Mostovsky and Labinsky districts, as well as on the rivers of the Black Sea coast. This is due to the bad weather in the Krasnodar Territory. A storm warning is in effect in the region due to heavy rains, thunderstorms and hurricane-force winds.

Citizens are advised to seal the doors and windows of the basement, basement and ground floors, close the ventilation openings in the basements, and remove pets and birds from the area of possible flooding. Rescuers are also asking local residents to pack a supply of warm clothes and food in backpacks, as well as to make a list of documents and property in case evacuation is necessary.

According to forecasts, the wind speed in the evening on February 18 and during the day on February 19 may reach 25 m/s. A strong draft and high waves up to 6 m are forecast in the ports of Tuapse and Novorossiysk.
