Two passenger cars collided on Lenin Street in Georgievsk (Stavropol Territory). One person was killed and another was injured.

The accident occurred early in the morning on February 18. According to the StavropolMedia news agency, the driver of the Lada Kalina car did not choose a safe speed when driving from Sovetskaya Street and collided with a BAIC car. The 38-year-old motorist died in hospital. The traffic police clarified that the man did not use a seat belt.

The 49-year-old driver of the foreign car was taken to the hospital. An accident investigation is underway.

Over the past day, 226 accidents have occurred on the roads of Russia. 22 people received fatal injuries, 276 people were injured.
