In the city of Sovetsky in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, a sinkhole formed on a site in a pedestrian zone. It happened in one of the most crowded places in the city.

According to the news agency " <url>" with reference to city publications, the emergency happened on the morning of February 18 during snow removal with a mini-loader. The foundation of the sidewalk collapsed. There were no casualties.

However, according to the head of the Soviet Alexander Kulagin, we are not talking about the sidewalk. The lid of the communal tray belonging to the Sovetsky Teplovodokanal enterprise has failed.

The mayor claims that the slabs are used as a pedestrian zone. During snow removal, two reinforced concrete slabs collapsed. It is possible that additional supports will be installed in this place in the future, and pedestrian accessibility will be temporarily restored until the summer.

The mayor promised that pedestrian safety would be ensured until the consequences were eliminated, and major repairs would begin in the summer.

Earlier it was reported that in Norilsk in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the ground collapsed at a depth of 25 m near the Mayak mine. There was a service trailer on the territory of the collapse, in which, presumably, there was a female watchman. According to preliminary data, the collapse occurred due to the melting of permafrost. The area of the collapse was 132 sq. m.
