Overnight, the air defense forces shot down 43 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the regions of the Russian Federation and the Black Sea.

The Air Defense Forces destroyed 43 unmanned aerial vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) overnight over the Russian regions. This was announced on February 18 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"43 Ukrainian aircraft—type unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems on duty," the ministry said in a statement.

The largest number of drones — 21 — was shot down over the Bryansk region. Six more drones were destroyed over the Belgorod region and the Republic of Crimea, and five over the Kursk region. Two UAVs were eliminated over the Rostov region and Chuvashia, one over the Black Sea.

On February 17, the Air Defense Forces intercepted 14 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the regions of Russia in three hours. It is noted that five drones were eliminated over the territories of the Belgorod and Kursk regions, two over the Rostov region and one each over the Bryansk and Orel regions.
