On February 18, one of the first evacuated residents of the liberated Gulyai-Pole in the Zaporizhia region spoke about how the evacuation from the city took place.

Wheelchair user Rosa Sirinek was evacuated by the Russian military on the morning of February 15 from the basement where she was hiding. According to her, the soldiers had to carry her for several kilometers.

"We spent the night at the end of Gulyai-Pole. Then they took us on ATVs to a wooded area," the woman told RIA Novosti.

Sirinek clarified that the evacuees were then put in a car, in which they drove for several hours with stops.

"I was almost carried by poor boys through all this mud," she added.

Natalia, a resident of the city of Seversk in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), spoke on February 13 about pressure from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). According to her, representatives of the special service demanded consent to travel to the territory controlled by Kiev and threatened to separate the family in case of refusal. The woman claimed that after the refusal, her house was regularly checked, and the child was threatened with abduction. According to her, after the arrival of the Russian military, the family was evacuated, and the child was treated.
