Clinical psychologist, psychotherapist, specialist in dealing with dependent and violent behavior, expert at the NEW ERA Development Center Elena Klen told on Tuesday, February 17, how to understand a situation when rapid changes occur in the body, emotions and experiences of a teenager.

According to the expert, not knowing how to cope with the accumulated tension, the child can become aggressive and short-tempered, react in an atypical way for himself and dramatize the situation. At the same time, it is important to remember that in the transition age many things are felt many times more acutely, and try to understand the teenager and offer him your help.

"It can be harder to accept and sympathize with a teenager than with a small child. A once cute, harmless baby can become like a rude adult who has settled in your apartment," the specialist explained in an interview with RuNews24.ru .

Maple noted that it is often at puberty that a child begins to behave outrageously and defiantly, as if deliberately provoking the rejection and indignation of parents, but this is not the case. The psychologist emphasized that it is at this age that the child most urgently needs understanding and support, and unconsciously wants to receive confirmation that he is loved even by the bad ones.

Therefore, she recommended to be patient, recall your experience of teenage life and try to find new points of intersection with the teenager — establishing contact and communication with the child is the responsibility of the parent.

On February 13, Natalya Naumova, a child psychologist, told NSN that it is safe for teenagers to spend no more than two hours a day on gadgets.

On February 5, experts in the field of psychology and law told the Moscow City News Agency that criminals influence minors through their vulnerability and the promise of quick benefits, and teenagers have been facing criminal liability for a number of crimes since the age of 14.

Earlier, on February 3, Medical Xpress (MX) magazine reported that teenagers prone to pathological lying have problems with executive functions, including poor memory and self-doubt.

In turn, Olesya Pokusaeva, a child and family psychologist, told in an interview with Pravda.Ru that the quiet nature of a teenager can be a signal of prolonged adolescence. In such cases, children growing up in an authoritarian environment may suppress their desires and emotions, which can lead to delayed rebellion, which may manifest itself in adulthood.
