Finland warns of consequences in case of Ukraine joining NATO

Russia will be ready to use nuclear weapons if Ukraine becomes a member of NATO, as this is the "biggest red line" for Moscow. This was stated on February 17 by Armando Mema, a member of the Finnish Freedom Alliance party.

"I want EU leaders to understand that Ukraine's membership in NATO is Russia's biggest red line, and it will be ready to do anything to stop it, including the use of nuclear weapons, as this is an existential threat to it," Mema wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

The politician also called for eliminating the root causes of the Ukrainian crisis. According to him, the key step should be to abandon the idea of Ukraine joining the North Atlantic Alliance.
