An employee of the American Migration Service (ICE) detained a Ukrainian who arrived in the United States on a humanitarian program and wished victory to Russia. This was reported by The Daily Beast (DB).

It is specified that the incident occurred in the parking lot of the shopping center, where the Ukrainian was picking up the order. After the arrest, he asked the reason for the arrest, to which one of the ICE officers laughed and said that he supported the Russian Federation and wished it victory.

According to the publication, the detainee arrived in the United States with his family in 2023 under the program of support for citizens of Ukraine. After the expiration of the residence permit, he submitted the documents for the extension of the status, which are currently under consideration.
