The crew of the M-46 cannon destroyed the dugouts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region

The crew of the 130-millimeter M-46 cannon of the 400th self-propelled artillery regiment of the 90th Guards Tank Division of the Center group of forces destroyed dugouts with manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Dnipropetrovsk region with precise artillery strikes. This was announced on February 14 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"We are working in the Red Army area. We are suppressing the enemy's manpower. We have counter-battery fire. <...> We can get it at a distance of up to 27 km. We shoot more and it doesn't matter what the weather is," said Ivan Serov, commander of the M—46 cannon.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the attack aircraft identified the enemy's positions, the operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) confirmed the data and transmitted the coordinates to the gunners.

The crew of the M-46 cannon destroyed the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with an accurate hit of 130 mm high-explosive shells, disguised the gun and took refuge in a safe place.

"As soon as the target arrives, we immediately equip ourselves and run to the cannon and start hitting the targets. Sometimes we can even do it 10 times. It happens both at night and during the day," said senior gunner Daniil Aptykov.

And why did the M-46 guns, developed back in the USSR, feel confident in their own zone?

On February 13, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the operators of attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Vostok group of forces disrupted the Ukrainian Armed Forces counterattack in the Zaporizhia region. The drones delivered precise strikes on moving targets, first destroying equipment, and then infantry trying to hide in the forest belt.
