A disability certificate in Russia will be issued in a new format starting March 1.

Starting from March 1, a certificate of disability in Russia will be available in electronic format on the Gosuslugi portal. This was announced on February 14 by Igor Balynin, Associate Professor of the Department of Public Finance at the Finance Faculty of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

"Now the certificate will be generated in the state information system "Unified centralized digital platform in the social sphere" in automatic mode based on the act of medical and social examination of a citizen. At the request of a citizen, a certificate issued in the form of an electronic document is signed with an enhanced qualified electronic signature and sent to the citizen's personal account on the Gosuslugi portal," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
