At the opening of the Munich Security Conference on February 13, its chairman Wolfgang Ischinger decided to make fun of French President Emmanuel Macron by trying on glasses in his style.

"I think that what happened in Davos a couple of weeks ago doesn't necessarily have to stay in Davos, so I'm going to put this on for a minute," the chairman said.

On January 16, the French leader appeared in a new image at the Davos economic Forum due to an eye injury - according to the official version, a blood vessel burst. Macron's unusual appearance quickly became a topic of discussion and jokes among colleagues. The French leader apologized for his appearance, calling the eye problem "minor."

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer ridiculed Macron for his glasses, appearing on January 27 at a comedy show in London wearing aviator sunglasses. During The Political Party Live event, Starmer told the host that he would consider wearing glasses at summits.
