The VI Congress of Young Scientists will be held in November 2026.

The VI Congress of Young Scientists will be held on November 25-27, 2026 in the federal territory of Sirius. This is the key annual event of the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia, announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2022. The Congress acts as the largest platform for dialogue between advanced and fundamental science, government and the real sector of the economy and sets the main vectors of scientific and technological development. One of its key tasks remains to involve talented youth and young researchers and entrepreneurs in the scientific and technological sphere.

"At a meeting with participants of the V Congress of Young Scientists, President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin called this event "one of the most authoritative and significant events that are held in our country." Since last year, it has been part of the national Youth and Children project. Indeed, the Congress plays a crucial role in the scientific life of Russia and even countries around the world: it discusses priorities for scientific and technological development and support measures. Scientists exchange ideas, find like-minded people, universities, scientific organizations and businesses present cutting-edge developments. Every year, interest in the event increases: over the past 5 years, the number of participants in the Congress has increased 3 times, and the number of countries has increased 4 times," said Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed confidence that in 2026 the Congress of Young Scientists will again be held at a high level and will give an additional impetus to the development of the domestic research and development sector.

"Modern science increasingly determines a country's ability to meet global challenges and ensure sustainable development. Today we face an ambitious task – not just to maintain the achieved dynamics, but to ensure a qualitative increase in scientific achievements. Supporting young scientists and creating conditions for realizing their scientific potential remain key priorities of the state scientific policy. The Congress of Young Scientists fully reflects this agenda and forms an environment in which scientific ideas receive practical development," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, head of the interdepartmental working group on the preparation and holding of the Congress of Young Scientists and satellite events.

Following the results of the jubilee V Congress of Young Scientists, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin noted that the platform promotes the free exchange of opinions and the development of scientific relations.

In 2025, the Congress gathered more than 8000 participants from 89 regions of the Russian Federation and 100 foreign countries, showing record international engagement.

The scientific and technological agenda of the Congress of Young Scientists successfully combines a variety of formats: from discussions and lectures to scientific battles, master classes, film screenings and intellectual games, creating a space for expert dialogues between researchers, engineers, technology entrepreneurs, heads of state corporations and large technology companies.

In 2026, the Congress of Young Scientists will continue to demonstrate advanced scientific achievements and innovative technologies, including new developments in the space industry, exchange of experience between young researchers, engineers and technology entrepreneurs, as well as discuss current challenges and prospects for the development of science and technology in Russia and the world.
