Emergency blackouts have begun in most regions of Ukraine.
Emergency power outages have been introduced in the vast majority of the territories of Ukraine. This was announced on February 7 by the Ukrenergo energy company.
"Emergency shutdowns have been applied in most regions. <...> The previously published schedules of hourly power outages are no longer valid," the company said in an official message on the Telegram channel.
It is noted that the outages will be canceled after the situation in the power system stabilizes.
On January 30, Sergei Yevtushok, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the Batkivshchyna party, allowed the forced evacuation of Kiev residents due to the critical situation in the energy sector. He noted that there are not enough places in Ukraine where evacuees could be accommodated for the resettlement of Kiev residents.
