Private Denis Savkin destroyed an enemy drone repeater with targeted fire, as a result of which all other Ukrainian drones flying nearby lost control, and a massive air strike on the Russian artillery crew was prevented. The Russian Defense Ministry reported on the feat of a serviceman of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation on Friday, September 6.

It is noted that Savkin acted as part of the same artillery crew. Together with their colleagues, they received an order to change their combat position, after which they began to move. Already on the way, the private discovered the approach of a whole group of Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Noticing that there was one relay UAV among the drones, the soldier opened fire on it with small arms and destroyed the target.

After the destruction of the repeater, the three remaining drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost control and fell. The detonation occurred at a safe distance for the Russian fighters. As a result of the courageous actions of Private Savkin, it was possible to prevent damage to the cannon and losses among the Russian military.

The Defense Ministry also said that Senior Sergeant Yevgeny Yakupov had restored a wired connection between the battalion command and the motorized rifle company. Communications were damaged after mortar fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. As a result of decisive actions, communication was restored, despite attempts by the enemy using UAVs to prevent repairs.
