The most optimal vaccination scheme for tick-borne encephalitis assumes that five to seven months will pass between the first and second injections. Lyubov Semeykina, Head of the Epidemiology Department at the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology in Primorsky Krai, told about this on February 5.

"The vaccination course is carried out according to a specific scheme and consists of two intramuscular injections of one dose with an interval of one to seven months. The most optimal interval is between the first and second vaccinations in five to seven months, this is autumn-spring. It is better to start vaccination in the fall," she told RIA Novosti.
