Lavrov pointed to the immutability of Russia's conditions on the conflict in Ukraine.
Russia has never changed the terms of the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, unlike other participants in the negotiations. This was announced on February 4 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
"We have never changed the conditions, unlike other participants in this process, who are constantly moving the gates, moving the bars and talking.: "Now we have to score one goal here, but not score there," he said in an interview with RT.
Lavrov also called Russia's position on the settlement consistent and understandable.
On February 2, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev also said that Russia's conditions for peace in Ukraine remain unchanged. According to him, at the talks in Anchorage, Russian representatives once again informed these conditions to their American colleagues. He said that in Donbas and Novorossiya, Russia defends itself and its people, while Kiev commits war crimes.
On January 30, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he refuses to withdraw troops from Donbass for the sake of peace in Ukraine. He noted that he would not give up Donbass and the Zaporizhia nuclear power Plant (NPP) without a fight.
Last December, Russian President Vladimir Putin also announced that the Russian Federation would liberate Donbass and Novorossiya in any case, by military means or otherwise. He noted that Russia offered Ukraine to withdraw troops from Donbass and not to start military operations, but Kiev chose to fight.
