The leadership of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has proposed lowering the minimum age of a girl for marriage from 16 to 14 years. This was reported on February 4 by the Ukrainian edition "Страна.иа ".

"In Article 1478, The Right to marriage, it is proposed to establish that persons of the opposite sex who have reached the age of marriage have the right to marry. For pregnant women or girls who have given birth, it can be 14 years old," the publication's Telegram channel says.
