- The Ministry of Defense announced a six-kilometer advance after the liberation of Staroukrainka
The liberation of Staroukrainka in the Zaporizhia region made it possible to advance six km deep into the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) west of Gulyai-Pole. This was reported on February 4 in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
"The liberation of Staroukrainka allowed the units to advance six kilometers deep into the enemy's defenses west of the Gulyai-Pole settlement and improve the situation in this area," the ministry said in a statement.
It is noted that in this area, the Ukrainian army lost a large number of soldiers, 10 units of various equipment, as well as 15 heavy hexacopters. In addition, the defense area of the Ukrainian militants, with an area of more than 5 square kilometers, came under the control of Russian soldiers.
On the same day, the Ministry of Defense announced that Russian troops had liberated the settlements of Staroukrainka in the Zaporizhia region and Stepanovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). The Russian army also took control of Stepanivka in the DPR. The enemy's losses amounted to 165 military personnel, 14 units of automotive equipment, field artillery weapons, and a counter-battery radar station.
