There are certain contacts on the dialogue between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron. This was announced by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov at a briefing on February 4.

"There are certain contacts at the working level," Peskov said.

At the same time, he added that there are currently no plans for contacts at the highest level. According to Peskov, there is also nothing "remarkable" about this issue.

Putin has convened a military-technical cooperation commission to discuss new export markets and plans for 2026.

In turn, State Duma deputy Svetlana Zhurova pointed out that contacts between the leaders of Russia and France would make sense only if the French leader was ready for a constructive dialogue.
