A passenger car with passengers partially fell through the ice near Chita. There were no human casualties or injuries, the press service of the central Office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Trans-Baikal Territory reported on Wednesday, February 4.

The incident occurred the night before near the dacha cooperative "Union" on the Ingoda River in the village of Antipikha.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations and police officers immediately arrived at the scene. The passengers managed to get out of the car on their own. They did not need the help of rescuers.

In connection with the incident, the Ministry of Emergency Situations recalled the prohibition of cars leaving on ice in unintended places. Even with stable frosts, the ice on reservoirs remains fragile due to many factors, which can lead to tragedy.

Earlier it was reported that multifunctional road service points will appear along the roads in Transbaikalia. The issue of their creation has already been discussed at a meeting in the regional Ministry of Economic Development.
