Due to the sick leave taken in January, the monthly salary may decrease significantly. RANEPA expert Tatiana Podolskaya warned about this on February 4.

"In January 2026, with a five—day working week, there are only 15 working days, so the amount of pay for each day worked for employees on salary is higher than in most other months of the year, as well as higher than the average level for the previous two years," she told RIA Novosti.

Thus, the issued sick leave may lead to a decrease in the amount of payments that the employee will receive for the month worked.
