On February 3, the French prosecutor's office began conducting searches in the offices of the social network X (ex. Twitter), which is owned by American entrepreneur Elon Musk.

"As part of the investigation launched in January 2025, the cybercrime department of the Paris Prosecutor's Office <...> is conducting a search of the French premises of Company X," the prosecutor's office said in a statement on the social network X.

The report notes that the searches were conducted jointly with employees of the National Cyber Division and Interpol.

On January 26, the European Union (EU) launched an official investigation against xAI Mask's company after the scandal surrounding the Grok chatbot, which "undresses" people based on photos. If it turns out that the company is violating the rules, the EU can impose a fine of 6% of the global annual turnover.
