Representatives of the US Department of Justice, in the process of making public the files of financier Jeffrey Epstein, accused of committing sexual crimes, posted a dozen unedited photographs of naked girls, some of whom are probably under the age of majority. This was reported on February 1 by The New York Times (NYT).

It is noted that 40 shots were recorded on the agency's website, which showed people with their faces uncovered. Those captured in the pictures were on the island, in bedrooms and other private spaces belonging to the financier.

"As part of the mandatory disclosure of Epstein's files, the federal government was instructed to edit both sexually explicit images and information that could be used to identify victims," the material says.
